Bold Christian Clothing

Bold Christian clothing is something that is very hard to find. Often times being a “Christian” carries the connotation of being quiet and subdued. After all the bible does say in Matthew 5:5 “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth” NIV84. But being meek in our relationship with Christ does not mean that our proclamation should be as such. Christians with fervent beliefs and principles do not want the normal mainstreamed clothing of the world. We want to be able to show our passion for our Christ just as He showed His passion for us.

Wearing bold Christian clothing is a way we can stand apart as the bible tells us to do and make that statement to all that we are proud to serve the Lord. Donning mediocre apparel with boring messages can be effective but not life changing. For those who are determined to further God’s Kindgom these items just don’t cut it. Courageous individuals who have a drive and internal need to help others make the change and turn from the world to a life of serving are searching to find something that will proclaim the Good News.

Serving in soup kitchens. Ministering in foreign lands. Worshiping with the lost. These are all activities that make us feel good, make us feel useful and make us feel needed. But what makes God happy and what makes us fulfilled should be making sure people of every nation hear God’s word and His promises for us. We’ve all heard the phrase that a picture is worth a thousand words. How great is it when we wear something that speaks to someone without words? When that one person walks by us and is instantly encouraged by our faces or our actions….or our clothing? Why wouldn’t every person want to be the change in someone’s life by bringing Christ to them? Isn’t that what “spreading the Word” is all about? God loved us so much He sent His Son to die on the cross for our sins. What a sacrifice! How can we sit still knowing that?

Bold Christian clothing is only a start but it is a start. We can finish until we start. We can’t start until we make that step of affirmation and be willing to stand out, be willing to be noticed for His sake. Don’t stand in the shadows. Don’t be quiet, but be bold and be passionate about your beliefs and help others to do the same. Wear Christian clothing that is unmistakable and that shouts to everyone the love of God is the best way to reach those who are searching for something that only He can satisfy.
